So I am going to try a ketchup with what has been going on in the last year and half. I has been a little crazy. Just a little warning this is a long post and might be a little emotional.

2010
May- Sept
I was working on the Cruise ship again. I was going really good. The only problem was that they made a new rule that you could not work the entire season. So I had to take more vacations. Which was ok but I did not make as much money and did not get to pay off my car like I had planed on. The other big problem was that the company was in financial trouble. The whole season we were not sure if we would have a cruise the next week. We were just going with the flow. The company made it to the last 2 weeks in the season. Big bummer that we did not make it all the way to the end. the shut the boat down and sent us home. The best thing that came out of it was the company did send me home 1st class. It was great. If they could fly me home 1st class why could they not go to more weeks. oh well.

Oct
I went home to New York to see what my next move was going to be. My dad's health was starting to go down hill. so I was not sure what I want to do. I was looking for job in my home town but there was not much there. I got a lead on a job in FL so I went down for an interview at Baby Cakes (a vegan bakery that was opening at Downtown Disney). I got the job so I was moving back to FL. I was going down a little before my grandma so I stayed at my old house. It was fun but different there.

Nov
I was still living in FL with my grandma in Zephrhills. I was enjoy life in FL was starting to get back into church activities and was starting to go to the gym again. I was feeling great about life. The job was going good the only problem was I was not getting a lot of hours. So I started to look for a part time job and an apartment in Orlando that was closer to work. Nothing was working out which turned out to be a good thing.
Dad took a turn for the worst around Thanksgiving and almost did not make it. It was the beginning of a nightmare that I did not want to happen. The worst part was not knowing what was going to happen. It was day to day, some days where really good and others were not so good. Dad was air lifted to a hospital in Rochester which is 4 hr away from where I live. I was still in FL at that time. I was trying to figure when to go home, Mom said that It was up to me so I stated in FL a little longer. Dad was some what out of the woods so I felt good about my decision. The deciding fact came about week later when dad called me to tell me goodbye and that he loved me. After I stopped crying a combed down I was on the computer looking for flight. At that point there was not much more that the dr's could do.

Dec
I went back to NY to see what help I could be. There was a new device that could work for my dad. He was not sure at 1st if he wanted to get the device. The device is a called a LVAD (left Ventricle Assist Device) . The device helps the blood flow in his body so the heart does not have to work so hard. Yes it is a little scary when you 1st learn about it but the nurses and dr's are really helpful. It was a long process to go though to get the LVAD. At sometimes dad was not good enough to get it then other time is was but he was never consistent enough. Dad was in the hospital in Rochester for 77 days. Me and mom made the 4 hr trip every weekend. Dad did end up with the LVAD which has been great. Without modern technology my dad would not be with us today.

2011

Jan- Aug
When dad got home I help with his rehab. At 1st I had to do a lot of him but as the days went on he did really good at recovering. When dad was doing better and I did not have to be there all the time I started looking for jobs. I started working a family owned restaurant not far from my house. It was not the best job in the world but I needed the money. Dad is doing a good as he can with device, The next step is a heart transplant. We are going to try and hold that one off a long as possible. The hardest part of this was watching my dad go down hill so fast a not being able to do anything about it. Another hard part was seeing mom go though it to. At times it was hard to be strong for the family when I just wanted to break down.
In July I was the head cook at girls camp and love every min of it. the heat was a little much at times but other than that I had a great time. If I can then I will do it again this July.

Aug - Dec
I moved to Erie PA for a job. Heidi had called me with a job offer that I could not turn down. It has been a good move for me. I am about 5 hrs away from home, so I can take a trip home for the weekend if I want too. I am a line cook at victors restaurant at the Bel-Arie Clarine Hotel. Everything has been going great. My grandmothers health started to go down hill and we lost her in November. It suck that she had to leave us but she is in better place and with my Poppy.

That has been my life lately, it has started to settle down a little. It has been a hard and emotional year but I came out of it stronger.

JOB..

As I said in my last post about not going back to Cruise West next year I have been looking at other jobs. I am just not sure what I want to do anymore or where I want to be. I am done with the season in Oct and would like to start another job in Nov, But I am thinking of not starting until Jan that way I will be home for the Holidays. The couple of jobs that I have looked at are the new Disney Ship, Edelweiss Lodge and Resort, Catering, and Eckerd Youth Alternatives. There have been others to but these are the ones that have stood out to me.

Disney Cruise line has a new Ship coming out in Jan so I thought that that would be a good one to apply for to do youth actives. The pay is not as good as what I make know but my that time I should be out of debt so I don't have to worry to much about bills. I think that it would be really fun to work with the kiddies.

Edelweiss Lodge and Resort is an Armed Forces Recreation Center, and is located in Garmisch, Germany. It is a resort for Military families to come a relax on there time off. I would have to do a 13 month contract. What a great place to work and I would get to travel Europe while I am there, and they only hire Americans. to work there.

Catering has a lot of different options that I can do. It is almost never the same and I can do it anywhere. I won't get as board with this because this are always changing in the Catering field. I just have to figure out where I want to settle.

Eckerd Youth Alternatives helping at-risk youth and their families. It is a camp style program that helps kids that need help and there parents are having trouble helping them. I would be a camp counselor helping them with outdoor actives and other stuff. I think this is a great why to help kids and a great way for we to grow as a person. The camps are located on the east coast.

That's what I have been thinking about over the last couple of weeks. What do I do next in my life? Is is time to settle down some where and put roots down. I thinking maybe but I am not sure. if anybody is out there reading this let me know what you think.

Here's the Deal...

I have started a new season with the Cruise ship. I am on a different ship this year. I am on The Spirit of Endeavour which is about the same as my boat last year but a little smaller. It has been a crazy start to the season already. They have added a position in the Gally (kitchen) that was not there last year so they hired to many people to start the season. With that I was sent on my 1st vacation right off the bat. I was not happy about that. So I went home for my 3 weeks off but lucky for me I got called back early to help out with crew meals on the other boats. The chef that they hired for my boat was not that great and he no longer works on my boat. That is why I came back early. So there will be a new Chef when I go back to the Ship tomorrow. Hopefully it will be for the better. This I will be the Pantry (cold food) and Relief baker. I am glad that I get to do some baking this year. It is really had to get into the baking on this ships b/c they stick with bakers that have work with the company before. So maybe this is a way in but who knows if i will be back next year. I think I say that every year.

My Life......

Well this last month has been pretty good. It has had it good moments and bad one. I have been doing good on the healthy life style. I have lost about 12lbs which is awesome. I feel way better about myself. I need to get a little better at the eating habits. I am a lot better then I was but there is always room for improvement. I am a little worried about going back on the ship and keeping up with working out and eating right. I have gotten a personal trainer and she is helping me with keeping up with the workouts. She gives me hits on ways to keep up with it. I want to have a healthy life style b/c my family's health history sucks.

I have been thinking lately about my career and where I want to be in my life. I am going back to the ship in a little less then a month. Don't get me wrong I love working there and traveling and the money is great. The people are also great. I have to go back this season b/c I have signed a contract and I am not one to back out of a contract. I am trying to figure out what to do when the season is over. I want to settle down some where and put down roots. I just don't know what I will be doing or were. I have a lot to think about. I also miss out on so many things that happen at home with family and friends.

Well were will the next adventurer in my life lead me?

Single......

Well this morning I was watch a talk show b/c I don't have much to do with my life at the moment. They were talking about being Single, divorced, and Married. It was a really good segment on the subject. It also got me to thinking about being single. I have been single for a really long time and I have sometimes been ok with it and others times not so much. At the point where I am in my life right now I am ok that I am still single. I have been able to do the things that I want to do and not have to worry about anyone else. I have been able to learn more about me as a person and to know what I really want out of life. One day I will meet someone that loves me for me and we will have a great life together. I get better the older I get.
There are time when I see most of my friends are in relationships and I am jealous of them b/c I want what they have. Then I step back and realize that maybe I am not as ready for it as I think that I am. I know that my Heavenly Father has a plan for me and has a time line for me. It started out with going to the Palmyra Temple on Saturday. I have not been able to go to the temple as much as I would have like to over the last couple of months. I love going to the temple and be able to feel the spirit and doing the Lords work.
Church was great as always but today they did the primary program (the children). The theme was the family. It was really good to see all the kids up there and doing there parts. There are so many more kids now then there were a couple of years ago. Which is great to see the growth of the church in are small area. There were a couple of songs that got to me today.
The 1st one was When I Am Baptized.
The words are I like to look for rainbows whenever there is rain
And ponder on the beauty of the earth made clean again.

I want my life to be as clean as earth right after rain
I want to be the best I can ans live with God again

I know when I am baptized my wrongs are washed away,
And I can be forgiven and improve myself each day.

I got to thinking the promises that I made the day that I was baptized and the things that I have done since then. I have come short on some things but am working on them. I seem to always be a work in progress. I have to keep reminding myself daily of the thing that I will get when I follow though with those promises that I have made.

The 2nd was If the Savior Stood Beside Me by Sally Deford
It is too long to wright in here but it got me to thinking. If the Savior was beside me would I act the way that I act at times. Most of the times it would not be a problem but there are other times that it might not be a good idea. Not that I do anything that bad but there are time that I could be better.

The 3rd was Families Can Be Together Forever. This is a great song and I will be with my family forever. That could be a good or bad thing J/K. I love my family and all that they do for me.

Then in Sunday school we were talking about the Armor of God. The things that we need to work on and the things that we will receive when we do them.

In Relief Society we talked about the importance of strengthening the family. It was a great lesson.

So this weekend got me to do a lot of thinking about the things that I need to work on. It also show me where I want to be in the next couple of years. Yes sometimes I get sad that I am not married or have kids but I just have to keep reminding myself that the Lord has a plan for me and in his time it will happen. I just have to keep the faith and to the things that are right to get there.

Oh Yeah and it was my birthday. So all in all it was a great weekend.

Finally a Posting....

Well these last couple of months have been busy and full of adventure's. I have been to Alaska, Florida, British Columbia, New York, Virgina, North Carolina, and back to Florida, then back to New York.
My 1st stop was Alaska. I got to see some amazing things. If you ever have the chance to go I would recommend you go. It is a beautiful part of the country. I visited places like Tracy Amy, Metlakatla, Misty Fjords, Glacier Bay, Juneau, Petersburg, Sitka, Skayway, and Haines. Her are some of the pictures form those places. I did take most of them but there are some that I got from other people.
<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v6.nonxt7.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3D96a9a770157ff1f7%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1331225872%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D3E08F70F830D8B836CC865920514E9666FA1B5E1.4F289B45CAC17D3E4DE85D97EBB8AA002F9E47CF%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D96a9a770157ff1f7%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3DuyY6WlzOGWJSq1YmD2ZdqbhAWeA&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />
After my 20 weeks yes 20 weeks on a boat I went to Orlando for a week to pick up my car and Visit some of my peeps there. My brother Wayne came down to help me drive my car home. We went to Disney it was his 1st time going and he had a great time. It was the 1st time that I had down all 4 parks in one day. We were really tired at the end of the night.I would have like to see Wishes but there was a Halloween party going on that night so no wishes. We went to EPCOT instead which are just as great.

So we left for NY and stayed in NC for a couple of days visiting family. My cousin Matthew just had there 1st baby so it was great to get to see them and the baby. I usually don't get to see them until there are like 4 or 5. Joshia was only 11 days old when I saw him. He is 7 weeks old in this picture.

I was home for 2 weeks then I left for British Columbia (BC) Canada. I was on a different boat the SOE. I was a really different experience then on the SOY. I love my boat and the crew that I work with. I was a good learning experience and to see how different boats run in the same company. BC was really pretty and there is a lot of activity going on up there right know. They are getting ready for the Winter Olympics. The places that I got to see where Vancouver (where the Olympics are going to be), Desolation Sound, Nanaimo, Friday Harbor, and Port Townsend.
<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v6.nonxt3.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3Dce30fa827ac7de9b%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1331225872%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D7861C55EFA9EC3E42944B90714E50D4B8249B339.32C88A5C48D40EF96AD9F816B4774FDF3A2D4E8F%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3Dce30fa827ac7de9b%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3DmuP7n_FI0xx66EqZFdtkzGgxvm4&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

After BC I went home to NY to stay with my parents. I have not done to much at home just helped around the house. I have cut lots of wood to keep us warm during the winter. Then it was time to take grandma to Florida so I went along for the ride b/c I have nothing else to do. We stopped at the Virgina Safari Park Zoo. It was really cool, there is a 3 mile lop that you can drive around and feed the animals. They come right up to the car and put there heads in the car window for food. It was cool that I got to pet a Zebra even though you were not suppose too. (did not know that until after words). It was good to be back for a little while. We got grandma's house ready for her and then relaxed the rest of the time. We went to the Temple and it was great. I have not been able to go in a while so it was really good to go back. I also went to Orlando and hung out with Amy at Hollywood Studios. It was so fun to get to ketch up with what is going on in her life. We went on the toy story ride and lots of fun even if she beat me.

Well that is all of my adventure's for now.

3 weeks left......

Well I have had a hard week this last week. I have been working 16 weeks straight with out a break and I still have 3 more to go. It was by my own choice to not take a break but who wants to spend $700 to get home when I can make more money. I have been missing being at home and being able to do want I want when I want to. I am missing my family and friends and being able to hang out with them. I was getting down on myself for missing out on stuff that is going on outside the boat world. At times I feel shut out of the thing that are going on in the world. Don't get me wrong I am enjoying what I am doing but I miss having a life where I can get out and do what I want to when I want. I keep looking at the amount of debt that I will be able to pay off.
On the other hand I have been able to see a beautiful part of the country. I have spent a lot of time to myself on the sun deck and pondered thing. I just have to look at the mountains, the animals, and the beauty of the earth around me to know that I am a very blessed person. I have been able to get more in touch with who I am and what I want out of my life. Yeah I miss the things that are going on back at home but I am doing so much of my own growing so I can be a better person. I am working on loving me more for who I am and not comparing me to others. I am work in progress and will always be.
Here are some pictures of my adventurers on the Boat and at the ports that we stop at. I will do another post with more details of the ports and the things that I see when I have more time and better service.

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v21.nonxt2.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3D24ae9d01ea2f3740%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1331225872%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D30D8ACC974223E53ABB02999E6379E9029DC3BB5.788D7F657FAFC55AE13E40D5239CE5E949E3872C%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D24ae9d01ea2f3740%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3DqykQRqr6sxr7TuiACXBJV4StSTI&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

Alaska...

Well I am still in Alaska and loven it. It was the flower and garden festival so there we many pretty flowers all over the place.

Sarah and I also did the new Kim Possible game at EPCOT. It's time to talk grandma back to NY. So we went to the temple on Thursday. I love going to the temple. It's a great way to have a great feeling of peace. Friday was a recoup day for the parents and I went to Busch Gardens with Maribel . It was so much fun. I loved seeing all the animals, that was my favorite part.
Saturday was a chill day, then that night we went to see Elder Jeffrey R. I learned a great deal of things that I need to work on. On Sunday mom and dad dropped me off at the airport so I could go to Seattle and then they left for NY.
So I start the next adventure of my life for the next couple of months.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://cruisenwithkim.blogspot.com/2009/04/last-week-in-florida-maybe.html' title='Last week in Florida...... I had a great time in Utah. It was great to get a way from Florida for a little while. Amy and Chuck's weeding was great. It was great to see lots of people from Florida that live in Utah now. I love those 2 and I am glad that they have started there life together.
Mom and Dad met me in Utah after the wedding. It was there 1st time in Utah and they had a great time.I am grateful that Joel got them to come out even thought that dad did not want to come out in the middle of sap season. He bladed it all on me that he was losing time to make syrup, but I now that he got over it and had a great time. We went to temple square and spent the day there. I have been to Utah before but there was not as much time to look around and take in the sights last time so that was great to be able to enjoy the sights this time. We went to the Joseph Smith move and I cried the entire time.Which if you know me is not a hard task to do. It opened up my eyes and I could really grasp what really happened back then. I was grateful that I had the opportunity to see that movie. We also got a tour of the conference center, that place is huge. Our tour guide was great and the tour was like 1 1/2 hours long.He was telling us everything about anything that was in the building. It was great to hear all the stories behind the history of everything that went into the building of the building and why things are the way they are.

We also went to Park City and road around and saw the Olympic sites. It was really cool to see all that. Park city is a pretty place.
Hey I even saw the school that High School Musial was filmed at.

We also went to the This is the Place site. It was great to see the place that it all started

We also went up into to the Canons and stopped at Sundance. The mountains are really pretty.

We even got to go to the ER. It was a trip that was not fun but the trip into the canons was a little much for Dad. He got affected by the altitude so he just need some more oxygen. The oxygen is a little thin in Utah. Utah is a lot higher than NY is. We did not even think of the difference. So he spent all day Sunday just resting. Next time they go to Utah they we spend some more time at relaxing and not so much on the go. Dad is still willing to go back which is a good sign. Well that was all the happened in Utah and It was a great trip.

Wedding's

So I have come to realize that I really do love going to wedding's. I use to not like going because they would make me sad to think that I am not even close to getting married, or maybe my day will never come . But my day will come when I am not even looking. Weddings make me very happy and I was so glad that I got to go to Chuck and Amy's wedding. I have gone though the whole relationship with them and it has been a great experience. I remember when I went to school I was there from like 8am to 3pm. Here they seem to go in at 9pm and leave by like 2pm. What is up with that. There are always cops outside the school to back sure the people that are driving by follow the speed limit of 15mph in the school zone. If you are even going over by like 2 miles they will get you. Its crazy to me.
This is what I blog about when I have nothing else to write about.

Y.M.C.A.........

I joined the YMCA yesterday. YEAH for me to get back into the habit of working out again. So lately I have not been happy with the way that I have been treating myself so I decided that I need to get off my butt and do something about it. So I did and the best part is when I go back on the ship I can cancel my membership without a plenty and I can start my membership back up when I am off the ship. The have awesome classes that they teach. Today was my 1st day at working out at the center. I did water aerobics, it was great. But it also kicked my trash. Who knew that you would get a hard core workout in the pool. They have a state of the art workout room. The best part about it was there were lots of older people there working out. They are so cute. I am excited about getting back on track.

Temple ...

I went to the Temple the other day with my parents. I am such a slacker. I have busy and bored over the last 2 months that I have spent in NY. I have relearned a lot about myself and my family. My family is definitely crazy when we are all together. I learned that I can still drive in the snow and that I am not a fan of it. I also am not a fan of the cold.
I am very grateful to have been home for the holidays. I have not been able to spend the holidays at home or even have the time off for the holidays in 3 1/2 years. I was great to not have to worry about work or anything else while being home. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, we as a family get together and go to my grandmothers and over eat turkey and just hang out as a family. I love it. At this time I was also again reminded of the many blessing that I have been giving. I often sometimes forget to be grateful for what the lord had blessed me with.
Christmas was a blast this year. I did not get that much in the present department but that's ok. I would rather give gifts then get them in return, and I don't have antwhere to put anything that I would get. It all started off with a church Christmas party. My parent are the Activity co-chairs so I got to help with the planing. My 1st task was to help my dad with a homemade fireplace.

This was the out come. Not to bad.
My dad had come up with idea of Christmas morning. So everyone ( even the adults) came in there PJ's. The kids were going to be a train and they where to stop at different Christmas stations. The train because most of the TV Christmas movies have a train going around the tree. So that is why the kids were lined up in a train. At each station the kids learned the real meaning behind Christmas.

This is the kids starting the train and my dad showing them what to do.

The kids and the adults had a lot of fun. It made me remember what is was like to be a kid around Christmas. It made me want to be a kid again and not have the worries of the world and growing up.

I am grateful for the time that I got to spend with my 3 year old niece. It was the most time that I got to spend with here since she was born because I have lived in FL.

She is so Cute. I love this girl.

The best part about being home was that I did not have work to hard. I did have a job on the side doing computer work but it got boring really fast. I now know that I don't want to be stuck in an office all day looking at a computer. So I have come to the conclusion that I going to go back to FL where it is warm and I don't have to deal with snow.

2 Weeks

This pic is the hill outside my window. Here is a list of things that I have done:
1. Watched almost all of my movies
2. Went to Temple
3. Helped dad get a truck load of wood
4. Got snow tires on my car
5. Hung out with my niece
6. Done Nothing

I am not going to Mexico so I will be staying in NY for the time being. I have been really board. I have been out of work for a month now and I think that it is time that I got a job for the next couple of months until I go back to Alaska in April.

I now have snow tires on my car so I can now go places if the weather is not bad.My house is in the middle of no ware so the roads can get pretty bad when we get a lot of snow and rain that turns to ice. Today it is raining and that is freezing to everything. We did not go to church today b/c the road already had ice on it. We are going to stay in and watch movies all day. That is what I have been doing with most of my time so there nothing different.

New York

Well I left Orlando Florida on November 14th. It was a 2 day journey to NY, that was very long 22 hours of driving. I am glad that Mom and Dad were with me. I will admit that they did most of the driving and I did a lot of sleeping which is all I can do so I don't get car sick. We stopped in NC for the night. It rained most of the drive. So I was glad that I did not have to drive that much because I am not a big fan of driving in the rain. When we woke up in the morning there where tornado warnings in the area so we got out of there as soon as we could. That day the rain was behind us most of the time. Which was good.

Delhi New York has not changed much since I left 3 years ago. I like that a little bit because it is easy to get back in to the swing of things but on the other hand it is still boring there is not much to do. There is not too many members my age to hang out with so I am board already. But I will make it work. Its good to be back home to see my family and friends. I have missed them. I don't miss the cold weather though. It has not got above 35 degrees, which I am not liking to much. I guess I will have to get used to it if I will be here for while.

I still have not heard about Mexico. That makes me think that I did not get it for this season. I kinda have a plan for now but not really. I am going to reapply for the Alaska season in April. I should get that because they need more people for that season. I got offered my old job back at the jail if I want it. Which I might take because it is pretty good money and the hours are nice. But I am really not going to start until after the holidays. Since I have not be home for them in almost 4 years. I am happy about that. I might even start apply for other cruise ship jobs. But I am still hoping that I get Mexico.

Busy, Busy,Busy

So my time in Orlando has been keeping me busy. I was going to try and relax but that has not been happening. But that's ok. I would have been board if I was just siting doing nothing. I went to Disney with some friends from the boat David and Chris. It was fun to hang out with them outside of the boat. We are different people when we are not on the boat. Then me and Chris went to Universal. It was fun to be at Universal, I have not been there in a while.

Now it is time for me to start getting ready for my move to NY. I still don't know if I am going to Mexico or not. That is making me mad because I was suppose to know November 1st. Maybe one day I will know what I am doing with my life. So for now I will move to NY and hopefully I will know by the end of the month about Mexico. Wish me luck. If not I will hang out in NY until April when I will start Alaska again.

Back In Orlando

So I have been back in Orlando for about 2 weeks. I miss my boat. It is hard to get your land legs after being on a boat for 8 weeks. Those 8 weeks on the boat were great. I learned lots and put mu skills that I learned in collage to use. I got to see lots of California Wine Country. Cali is a really pretty state. I spent lots of time in the Napa Valley. The ports that we stopped were really boring. There was not much to do if we wanted to do anything then we had to take a cap ride into town. I did it the 1st couple of times then I did not want to spend the money to get into town.
I tried to go on a hot air balloon ride. So we got to the take off point and they started to blow up the balloon and they got the balloon all the way blown then the wind was to windy and they could not safety fly the balloon. I was sad I really wanted to go but I rather be on the ground safe then in the air not safe. There will be another time to go.

I spent some time in San Francisco after I got of the boat before I came back to Orlando.
Some friends from the boat went with me (Erin, Shane, and Chris). It was good. Erin and I went to the Wax Museum. San Fran is a busy place. We road on a trolley car it was really cool. We got a little lost on are way back. I was thankful that Erin was with me b/c she got me back to the hotel safely.

It is great to be able to see the west coast. I am grateful and very blessed to be able to travel as part of my job. I am loving the experience that I am gaining. I am ready to start my next adventure.

I will be moving back to NY in Nov. I will have that as my home base for my time off in between my time on the boat. I will also travel in between the cruises.

I am still alive

Hey I am still here. I am meeting lots of new people and learning lots of new things. Today is the last day in Alaska then we start the California Wine Country cruises. It was good to meet someone that I will be working with that way I know someone on the Ship. All I know so Far is that I will be working on The Spirit of Yorktown. I leave for Ketchikan Alaska tomorrow really early. Then I go to the ship and learn my schedule for there. It all started about a month ago when I applied for a job at cruise west. I got the job working on a Cruise Ships as a Chef d'Partie. I am super excited to start this new phase in my life. It has all be happening so fast.
My day started out really early by getting on a plane to Seattle. The weather was not so good so we sat on the run way for 1 hour before we could take off. It was a long flight so I slept some of it and finished a book that I had started that morning. I know why I don't like to check my bags b/c it took me 45 min to get my bag that was before they changed the gate that my bag was coming out on. But all in all it was a good time.
I got to see the space needle. That is way cool. I can see it from my hotel window.I went out in the neighborhood to take a walk. I realize that people like to ride their bikes and walk here in Seattle. It was go to get out and see somethings around Seattle. I did get a little turned around but I did find my way back. Which I am very proud of myself b/c I sometimes can't find my way out of a paper bag. Well that's all for now.
