Weekend......

This weekend was a great weekend. It started out with going to the Palmyra Temple on Saturday. I have not been able to go to the temple as much as I would have like to over the last couple of months. I love going to the temple and be able to feel the spirit and doing the Lords work.
Church was great as always but today they did the primary program (the children). The theme was the family. It was really good to see all the kids up there and doing there parts. There are so many more kids now then there were a couple of years ago. Which is great to see the growth of the church in are small area. There were a couple of songs that got to me today.
The 1st one was When I Am Baptized.
The words are I like to look for rainbows whenever there is rain
And ponder on the beauty of the earth made clean again.

I want my life to be as clean as earth right after rain
I want to be the best I can ans live with God again

I know when I am baptized my wrongs are washed away,
And I can be forgiven and improve myself each day.

I got to thinking the promises that I made the day that I was baptized and the things that I have done since then. I have come short on some things but am working on them. I seem to always be a work in progress. I have to keep reminding myself daily of the thing that I will get when I follow though with those promises that I have made.

The 2nd was If the Savior Stood Beside Me by Sally Deford
It is too long to wright in here but it got me to thinking. If the Savior was beside me would I act the way that I act at times. Most of the times it would not be a problem but there are other times that it might not be a good idea. Not that I do anything that bad but there are time that I could be better.

The 3rd was Families Can Be Together Forever. This is a great song and I will be with my family forever. That could be a good or bad thing J/K. I love my family and all that they do for me.

Then in Sunday school we were talking about the Armor of God. The things that we need to work on and the things that we will receive when we do them.

In Relief Society we talked about the importance of strengthening the family. It was a great lesson.

So this weekend got me to do a lot of thinking about the things that I need to work on. It also show me where I want to be in the next couple of years. Yes sometimes I get sad that I am not married or have kids but I just have to keep reminding myself that the Lord has a plan for me and in his time it will happen. I just have to keep the faith and to the things that are right to get there.

Oh Yeah and it was my birthday. So all in all it was a great weekend.

Finally a Posting....

Well these last couple of months have been busy and full of adventure's. I have been to Alaska, Florida, British Columbia, New York, Virgina, North Carolina, and back to Florida, then back to New York.
My 1st stop was Alaska. I got to see some amazing things. If you ever have the chance to go I would recommend you go. It is a beautiful part of the country. I visited places like Tracy Amy, Metlakatla, Misty Fjords, Glacier Bay, Juneau, Petersburg, Sitka, Skayway, and Haines. Her are some of the pictures form those places. I did take most of them but there are some that I got from other people.

After my 20 weeks yes 20 weeks on a boat I went to Orlando for a week to pick up my car and Visit some of my peeps there. My brother Wayne came down to help me drive my car home. We went to Disney it was his 1st time going and he had a great time. It was the 1st time that I had down all 4 parks in one day. We were really tired at the end of the night.I would have like to see Wishes but there was a Halloween party going on that night so no wishes. We went to EPCOT instead which are just as great.

So we left for NY and stayed in NC for a couple of days visiting family. My cousin Matthew just had there 1st baby so it was great to get to see them and the baby. I usually don't get to see them until there are like 4 or 5. Joshia was only 11 days old when I saw him. He is 7 weeks old in this picture.

I was home for 2 weeks then I left for British Columbia (BC) Canada. I was on a different boat the SOE. I was a really different experience then on the SOY. I love my boat and the crew that I work with. I was a good learning experience and to see how different boats run in the same company. BC was really pretty and there is a lot of activity going on up there right know. They are getting ready for the Winter Olympics. The places that I got to see where Vancouver (where the Olympics are going to be), Desolation Sound, Nanaimo, Friday Harbor, and Port Townsend.

After BC I went home to NY to stay with my parents. I have not done to much at home just helped around the house. I have cut lots of wood to keep us warm during the winter. Then it was time to take grandma to Florida so I went along for the ride b/c I have nothing else to do. We stopped at the Virgina Safari Park Zoo. It was really cool, there is a 3 mile lop that you can drive around and feed the animals. They come right up to the car and put there heads in the car window for food. It was cool that I got to pet a Zebra even though you were not suppose too. (did not know that until after words). I love to go to zoo's and see the animals.

After that we stopped in NC for the weekend to visit family. It was great to be there again and see the baby again and the rest of the family. We went to the Natural Science Center. It was neat there was all this science stuff and there were animals there too.

Then we finish off in Florida. It was good to be back for a little while. We got grandma's house ready for her and then relaxed the rest of the time. We went to the Temple and it was great. I have not been able to go in a while so it was really good to go back. I also went to Orlando and hung out with Amy at Hollywood Studios. It was so fun to get to ketch up with what is going on in her life. We went on the toy story ride and lots of fun even if she beat me.

Well that is all of my adventure's for now.

3 weeks left......

Well I have had a hard week this last week. I have been working 16 weeks straight with out a break and I still have 3 more to go. It was by my own choice to not take a break but who wants to spend $700 to get home when I can make more money. I have been missing being at home and being able to do want I want when I want to. I am missing my family and friends and being able to hang out with them. I was getting down on myself for missing out on stuff that is going on outside the boat world. At times I feel shut out of the thing that are going on in the world. Don't get me wrong I am enjoying what I am doing but I miss having a life where I can get out and do what I want to when I want. I keep looking at the amount of debt that I will be able to pay off.
On the other hand I have been able to see a beautiful part of the country. I have spent a lot of time to myself on the sun deck and pondered thing. I just have to look at the mountains, the animals, and the beauty of the earth around me to know that I am a very blessed person. I have been able to get more in touch with who I am and what I want out of my life. Yeah I miss the things that are going on back at home but I am doing so much of my own growing so I can be a better person. I am working on loving me more for who I am and not comparing me to others. I am work in progress and will always be.
Here are some pictures of my adventurers on the Boat and at the ports that we stop at. I will do another post with more details of the ports and the things that I see when I have more time and better service.

Ship Life....

Well here is a short post about the ship life. Here are some pics from my room and bathroom.

They are small but that's ok. I don't really do anything in there but sleep and use the bathroom.
I also have had to do a lot of training. I am 1st AID and CPR certified. Yeah I can save a life. I also go to see a safety life raft being inflated. It was cool but I would not be stuck in the raft with 25 people for a long period of time.
This is what it starts as This is what is ends as

We are going to try and stay away from the Pirates. I hope that they are not in Alaska.

Last week in Florida...... Maybe

I have said that it was my last week in FL a lot. So maybe this time it will be true. But I never know. I has a very busy week. I went to church in Orlando and hung out with the girls that afternoon. Sarah talked me into going to Epcot on Monday. It was the flower and garden festival so there we many pretty flowers all over the place.

Sarah and I also did the new Kim Possible game at EPCOT. It was really fun, you get to go to a country in EPCOT and try a solve a problem and the "cell phone" gives you the clue and shows you where to go. We went to France and Norway.
We were really excited to get the "cell phone"
We all so played princess
As mom said when she saw this pic she says that I play princess a lot.

My parents got to Florida on Wednesday. It's time to talk grandma back to NY. So we went to the temple on Thursday. I love going to the temple. It's a great way to have a great feeling of peace. Friday was a recoup day for the parents and I went to Busch Gardens with Maribel . It was so much fun. I loved seeing all the animals, that was my favorite part.
Saturday was a chill day, then that night we went to see Elder Jeffrey R. Holland. It was awesome to see an servant of the lord. He had some great inspiration and in site on the things that we need to do in our lives. I learned a great deal of things that I need to work on. On Sunday mom and dad dropped me off at the airport so I could go to Seattle and then they left for NY.
So I start the next adventure of my life for the next couple of months.

Utah

So I have been home for a little over a week so I thought that it was time that I wrote about it. I had a great time in Utah. It was great to get a way from Florida for a little while. Amy and Chuck's weeding was great. It was great to see lots of people from Florida that live in Utah now. I love those 2 and I am glad that they have started there life together.
Mom and Dad met me in Utah after the wedding. It was there 1st time in Utah and they had a great time.I am grateful that Joel got them to come out even thought that dad did not want to come out in the middle of sap season. He bladed it all on me that he was losing time to make syrup, but I now that he got over it and had a great time. We went to temple square and spent the day there. I have been to Utah before but there was not as much time to look around and take in the sights last time so that was great to be able to enjoy the sights this time. We went to the Joseph Smith move and I cried the entire time.Which if you know me is not a hard task to do. It opened up my eyes and I could really grasp what really happened back then. I was grateful that I had the opportunity to see that movie. We also got a tour of the conference center, that place is huge. Our tour guide was great and the tour was like 1 1/2 hours long.He was telling us everything about anything that was in the building. It was great to hear all the stories behind the history of everything that went into the building of the building and why things are the way they are.

We also went to Park City and road around and saw the Olympic sites. It was really cool to see all that. Park city is a pretty place.
Hey I even saw the school that High School Musial was filmed at.

We also went to the This is the Place site. It was great to see the place that it all started

We also went up into to the Canons and stopped at Sundance. The mountains are really pretty.

We even got to go to the ER. It was a trip that was not fun but the trip into the canons was a little much for Dad. He got affected by the altitude so he just need some more oxygen. The oxygen is a little thin in Utah. Utah is a lot higher than NY is. We did not even think of the difference. So he spent all day Sunday just resting. Next time they go to Utah they we spend some more time at relaxing and not so much on the go. Dad is still willing to go back which is a good sign. Well that was all the happened in Utah and It was a great trip.

Wedding's

So I have come to realize that I really do love going to wedding's. I use to not like going because they would make me sad to think that I am not even close to getting married, or maybe my day will never come . But my day will come when I am not even looking. Weddings make me very happy and I was so glad that I got to go to Chuck and Amy's wedding. I have gone though the whole relationship with them and it has been a great experience. I am so happy for the both of them.

After going to the sealing in the Temple it makes me realize how important Temple Weddings are. There is a special spirit that happens when your are in there. It makes me want to try harder and not saddle for anything less. I am so happy for Chuck and Amy they deserve the best. They are great and fun loving people.

School....

So everyday I drive by the high school here in Zephryhills, FL and they never seem to be there very long. I remember when I went to school I was there from like 8am to 3pm. Here they seem to go in at 9pm and leave by like 2pm. What is up with that. There are always cops outside the school to back sure the people that are driving by follow the speed limit of 15mph in the school zone. If you are even going over by like 2 miles they will get you. Its crazy to me.
This is what I blog about when I have nothing else to write about.

Y.M.C.A.........

I joined the YMCA yesterday. YEAH for me to get back into the habit of working out again. So lately I have not been happy with the way that I have been treating myself so I decided that I need to get off my butt and do something about it. So I did and the best part is when I go back on the ship I can cancel my membership without a plenty and I can start my membership back up when I am off the ship. The have awesome classes that they teach. Today was my 1st day at working out at the center. I did water aerobics, it was great. But it also kicked my trash. Who knew that you would get a hard core workout in the pool. They have a state of the art workout room. The best part about it was there were lots of older people there working out. They are so cute. I am excited about getting back on track.

Temple ...

I went to the Temple the other day with my parents. I love going to the temple. It is great to be able spend that time with my mom and dad. When I was in NY I went the Palmyra Temple. It was awesome to get to go. I loved it. My parents don't get to go that much because it is 3 hours away. When they come to visit FL they always go to the temple because its only 1 1/2 hours away after there 3 hour flight. LOL.

Time in NEW YORK........

WOW....... it has been for ever since I have blogged. I am such a slacker. I have busy and bored over the last 2 months that I have spent in NY. I have relearned a lot about myself and my family. My family is definitely crazy when we are all together. I learned that I can still drive in the snow and that I am not a fan of it. I also am not a fan of the cold.
I am very grateful to have been home for the holidays. I have not been able to spend the holidays at home or even have the time off for the holidays in 3 1/2 years. I was great to not have to worry about work or anything else while being home. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, we as a family get together and go to my grandmothers and over eat turkey and just hang out as a family. I love it. At this time I was also again reminded of the many blessing that I have been giving. I often sometimes forget to be grateful for what the lord had blessed me with.
Christmas was a blast this year. I did not get that much in the present department but that's ok. I would rather give gifts then get them in return, and I don't have antwhere to put anything that I would get. It all started off with a church Christmas party. My parent are the Activity co-chairs so I got to help with the planing. My 1st task was to help my dad with a homemade fireplace.

This was the out come. Not to bad.
My dad had come up with idea of Christmas morning. So everyone ( even the adults) came in there PJ's. The kids were going to be a train and they where to stop at different Christmas stations. The train because most of the TV Christmas movies have a train going around the tree. So that is why the kids were lined up in a train. At each station the kids learned the real meaning behind Christmas.

This is the kids starting the train and my dad showing them what to do.

The kids and the adults had a lot of fun. It made me remember what is was like to be a kid around Christmas. It made me want to be a kid again and not have the worries of the world and growing up.

I am grateful for the time that I got to spend with my 3 year old niece. It was the most time that I got to spend with here since she was born because I have lived in FL.

She is so Cute. I love this girl.

The best part about being home was that I did not have work to hard. I did have a job on the side doing computer work but it got boring really fast. I now know that I don't want to be stuck in an office all day looking at a computer. So I have come to the conclusion that I going to go back to FL where it is warm and I don't have to deal with snow.
